*The exact time and date of the special lecture will be provided in the working program of the conference.
The observatory was originally inaugurated on July 29, 1938, but functioned for only one year. The new concept of its restoration and the redefinition of its mission and objectives emerged as a joint initiative of the Center for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Today, this unique high-mountain research facility is entering a new phase of genuine scientific activity within our university. Through this special session, we aim to introduce conference participants to this important experience of restoring and redefining a scientific institution, as well as to promote the observatory and its future research directions among leading physicists and the young generation of researchers.
